Shastra Daan

Prints and distributes Jain granths for the pathshala library.

Shastra daan, also called jnana daan, holds a special place in Jain thought because right knowledge (samyak jnana) is one of the three jewels of the path to liberation, alongside right faith and right conduct. Making scripture and teaching accessible removes ignorance, which Jain philosophy identifies as the root of attachment and suffering. At this kshetra, shastra daan prints and distributes Jain granths for the pathshala library, so children and adults alike can study the teachings.
