Jirnoddhar
The shikhar and the sabha mandap are due for restoration. What is worn, what the trust plans, and how the sangh can help.
Why the work is needed
The shikhar and the sabha mandap have stood through decades of sun and rain without major repair, and the wear now shows in the plaster and the masonry. The trust has engaged an engineer to assess the structure, and that survey is underway. Once it is complete, the full scope of the work will be known.
What is planned
The trust's site development blueprint, the Kshetra Vikas Aarakhada, sets out six areas of work: the Vimalnath Hall, the ground-floor and upper-floor halls, the northern open space, the garbhagruh and the kalas.
Scope of the work
Vimalnath Hall
A new entrance and forecourt, rebuilt upper-floor rooms including a gallery over the hall and four independent guest rooms, a renovated upper-floor restroom, stainless-steel railings, new stairs, and the lower-floor restroom relocated and rebuilt.
Hall 1, ground floor
Work on the central pillar, aluminium windows on the north side, the southern section strengthened and reclaimed, a shutter to close the hall off, ceiling work with wiring and painting, an improved stage, proper stairs to the upper floor, and seating for at least 400.
Hall 2, upper floor
An enclosed front area with a proper stage, and a permanent kitchen for community meals. This part is already done.
The northern open space
An entrance gate beside Goundgalli, a two-storey residence for pilgrims and renunciants, boundary walls on the east and west, a hall with a stage seating up to 1,500, parking for cars and two-wheelers, a separate restroom block, and a garden.
The garbhagruh
The sanctum strengthened and renovated, with its present structure preserved.
The kalas
The spire of the mandir restored.

Restoration and upkeep of the mandir structure.

Trust and transparency
This restoration is undertaken by the registered public trust named below, whose office bearers are published in full on this site. The structural assessment now underway will settle the plan and its cost, and the trust will share updates with the sangh as the work moves forward.
