Why Now — The Need
The shikhar and the sabha mandap have stood through decades of sun and rain without major repair, and that wear now shows in the plaster and the masonry. The trust has engaged an engineer to assess the structure, and that survey is currently underway. Once it is complete, the trust will know the full scope of work needed to keep the mandir safe and sound for the sangh that visits it.
The Vision — What Will Be Built
This is a restoration, not a rebuilding. The aim is a mandir that is structurally sound and cared for, matched to what the kshetra actually needs rather than to any grand new design. The shikhar and the sabha mandap will be repaired to last, and the character of the mandir as it stands today will be kept through the work.
Timeline & Phases
Phase 1
Assessment & Planning
Structural survey by the trust's engineer, followed by an architect's restoration plan and the trust's formal approval.
Phase 2
Fundraising
Appeal to the sangh, including patrons abroad, and collection into the jirnoddhar nidhi to fund the work ahead.
Phase 3
Construction
Restoration work on the shikhar and the sabha mandap, carried out in stages as funds and approvals allow.
Phase 4
Pratishtha
Reconsecration of the restored kshetra once the work is complete.
